This past weekend, I traveled to Devil's Lake State Park with a few close friends and we had a picnic, swam in the cold water, and hiked some bluffs. It started raining once we got to the top, but the trip was well worth it!
"The midwest’s mountains are simply bluffs scattered throughout that overlook lakes and rolling hills. We didn’t expect quite so much rain, but each of us stood in the open as it poured down for hours. Our soaking wet clothes, muddy ankles, and curly hair didn’t change anything.
The mountains here are what I have, and I run to them when I can."
